The need to create an affordable and accessible place where social interaction in the sauna is welcomed inspired Michael, Adrian, and Kevin to open LÖYLY in February 2023 in the city of Zurich. With LÖYLY, we create a space for encounters and promote the sense of community typical of Finnish sauna culture.
Our sauna
The mobile sauna from LÖYLY is made of real Finnish pine wood and accommodates up to 4 people. In the entrance area, there is a changing room with a bench and coat hooks. It is heated with natural power from water, sun, and wind.
What does "Löyly" mean?
The Finnish word "Löyly" refers to the beneficial water vapor that arises during a sauna infusion. However, translating the term simply as infusion would be inadequate. In Finland, Löyly is also referred to as the spirit or soul of the sauna. The term represents the physical and mental well-being that a sauna bath conveys.
